JHENIDAH, Feb 3: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Jhenidah region has disbursed a total amount of Tk 1019.4 million in respect of crop loan, fish loan, farm loan and others in the district in the first six months of the current fiscal year (HI) 2014-15 against its yearly disbursement target of Tk 1487.0 million through its 15 branches, which is 69 per cent of the annual target.
The bank disbursed Tk 913.9 million agriculture loan in the six months against its annual disbursement target of Tk 1198.5 million in this sector, and the percentage of achievement is 76.
BKB also disbursed Tk 105.5 million other loans in the district during the time whereas it has an annual disbursement target of Tk 288.5 million.
Meanwhile, the bank recovered Tk 974.0 million during the period against its annual recovery target of Tk 1235.9 million. The region achieved 79 per cent of its yearly recovery target.
The bank projected to make a profit of Tk 100.00 million in this FY and achieved Tk 83.3 million in the H1 of the fiscal year, which is 83 per cent.
Deputy General Manager (DGM), Bangladesh Krishi Bank Jhenidah region Gazi Monowar Hossain informed The Financial Express that among all the regions of BKB, Jhenidah region achieved the highest position in terms of percentage of loan recovery.
