JOYPURHAT, July 11 (BSS): The government has distributed over Tk 44.3 million (Tk 4.43 crore) as various allowances among 9,237 beneficiaries in the district during the last fiscal (2014-15).
Social Service Department (DSS) distributed the allowances as widows and divorcee destitute women with disability allowance at the rate of Taka 400 per month in the district.
The DSS distributed the allowance in three phases and each beneficiary got Tk 4,800 for one-year allowance.
Deputy Director of DSS Nur Mohammad told the news agency that the beneficiaries received their respective allowance timely in a hassle-free manner.
