Trader stabbed in Magura

MAGURA, Mar 16, (UNB): Muggers snatched Tk 50,000 from a trader after stabbing him in Shalikha upazila on Saturday night.

The victim was identified as Sumon, 22, son of Abdul Mazid of Harishpur village in the upazila.

Police said a gang of 5-6 snatchers intercepted Sumon at Aruakandi village around 8pm while he was returning home from Simakhali Bazar by his bicycle.

Later, the hoodlums stabbed him and took away the money.

Passers-by rescued Sumon and took him to Shalikha hospital and a case was filed.

Meanwhile, locals caught two muggers while they were trying to mug a pedestrian at Keshabmor in the district town on Saturday evening.
