Training on Right to Information Act held in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Nov 20 (BSS): Chief Information Commissioner Mohammed Faruk said every citizen of the country has the right to get information from all the public, autonomous and statutory organization as it has been recognized in the constitution.
He said, it is necessary to ensure right to information for empowerment of the people as well as ensure transparency, accountability and establish good governance for building prosperous Bangladesh.
He made this comments at a training programme on right to information act and its execution process held at the district Shilpakala Academy auditorium Wednesday.
Information Commission in cooperation with the district administration organised the training programme.
The chief Guest stressed the need for proper execution of the acts and create mass awareness to get services from the concerned service providers.
Deputy Commissioner Mostakim Billah Faruqui presided over the inaugural session of the training programme.
Information Commissioner Nepal Chandra Sarkar and Additional Police Super Harunor Rashid addressed the inaugural session as special guests.
