CUMILLA, Apr 19 (UNB): A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was killed when a speeding truck ran over him on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chauddagram upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as lance nayek Abul Kalam of Ananadpur BGB camp in the upazila, said Abul Faisal, officer-in-charge of Chaddadgram Police Station.
The accident took place around 10:15pm when the truck knocked down him while investigating a suspicious auto-rickshaw during BGB patrol, leaving him dead on the spot.
