Two die in Chattogram road mishap

CHATTOGRAM, July 03 (BSS): Two people were killed in a road accident at Kamol Munshihat on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway under Patiya upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Shanku Das Barua, 70, Uttam Barua, 42, both hailing from Satkania upazila of the district.
Minazur Rahman, officer-in-Charge of Patiya Highway Police outpost, said the accident occurred when a Cox's Bazar-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving auto-rickshaw driver and passenger dead on the spot.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee away, Mizanur Rahman said.
