LAXMIPUR, Apr 15 (BSS): Two people including a house owner died after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank while cleaning the tank at a house in West Rakhalia village of Sonapur union under Raipur upazila of the district on Sunday night.
One of the deceased was identified as owner of the house Riyad Hossain, son of Noor Nabi Leda, and a sweeper, whose name could not be known immediately, residents of the area.
"Sweeper first went down into the tank to clean the tank of the house and he got trapped inside the tank while cleaning.
Later, the owner of the house Riyad Hossain went down rescue him. None of them returned anymore, both died, OC of Raipur Police Station, Yasin Farooq Majumdar said.
