Two expats\\\' houses looted in Sylhet

SYLHET, Mar 18 (UNB): Robbers shot two members of a family and looted valuables from two expatriates' houses at Baliteka village in Jakiganj upazila early Wednesday.

Locals said a gang of armed robbers, numbering 10-12, stormed the houses of two expatriate brothers-Shamsu Miah and Badrul Miah at the village at about 2:00 am by breaking open the door and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.

They looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth Tk 0.6 million (6 lakh) from the houses.
