Two get life term in Jamalpur rape case

JAMALPUR, Sept 10 (BSS): A court here on Wednesday convicted two persons and
sentenced them to life-term imprisonment for raping a girl in Dewanganj upazila of the district in 2004.

Rahim delivered the verdict, a court official said.
The convicts are Md Aijur Hossain, 35, son of Azmesh Ali and Golam Mostafa
alias Bhasha, 35, son of Md Jamat Ali, residents of Sanandabari Sabujpara
village of the upazila.
The court also fined Aijur Taka 0.1 million and Mostafa Tk 50,000. According to prosecution, on February 4, 2004, convict Md Aijur Hossain forcibly raped a 13-year old girl at the village.
