Two hacked to death in Madaripur

MADARIPUR, Jun 1 (UNB): Two people were hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants in Rajoir upazila of the district on Saturday night.

One of the deceased was identified as Mawlana Abul Bashar, a teacher of Tekerhat Alia Madrasah and hailed from Ballabdi village in Faridpur, while identity of another could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said the miscreants attacked the two in front of the Al-Hera Women's Madrasah in Tekerhat port area around 9pm on Saturday, leaving the unidentified man dead on the spot.

Mawlana Abul Bashar died after he was taken to the Rajoir upazila health complex.

Rajoir police said a case was filed in connection with the murders.
