CHATTOGRAM, Mar 19 (UNB): Two people have been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction and gang-rape of a teenage girl inside a private car in Chattogram.
Police arrested Miron Miru (36) and Jamir (32) from Chhotopul area under Halishahar thana with the help of information technology on Tuesday.
According to police, the girl was abducted on the night of March 17 and gang-raped in a white car in Chhotopul Old Road area under Halishahar thana.
According to the case statement, Miron Miru and Jamir abducted the victim around 10:00 pm on March 17 and threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident.
Md Kaiser Hamid, officer-in-charge of Halishahar thana, said the girl did not inform anyone about the incident as she was scared and later informed her mother on Monday night. After that, her father filed a case.
