Two held with forged revenue stamps in Ctg


CHITTAGONG, June 04 (BSS): The Detective Branch of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive on Tuesday arrested two men with 15510 forged revenue stamps worth about Taka 1.76 million (17.68 lakh) from Chattogram court building area under Kotwali thana in the city.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Amirul Islam, 35 and Abdul Monaf, 33, hailed from different areas of the district.
A team of the DB police nabbed Amirul Islam and Monaf while he was waiting for selling the fake revenue stamps at shop no-11, under Doel Bhaban of the Chattogram District Lawyers Association office at about 2.30 pm.
A case filed with Kotwali Thana against them.
