KISHOREGANJ, Aug 10 (UNB): Two children drowned in a pond at Pudurghat in Hossainpur upazila of the district Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Jannat, 3, daughter of late Manik Miah and Saiba, 3, daughter of Khuki Mia.
Police and local people said the two children slipped into the pond while playing and drowned.
After a hectic search, local people recovered their floating bodies from the pond.
Hossainpur thana officer-in-charge Nannu Mollah confirmed the incident.
