Two killed in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Oct 12 (BSS): Two persons were stabbed to death and three others were severely injured in two separate incidents that took place last night at Sadar upazilla of the district.

According to police sources, one Nakul Chandra Biswas, 35 was killed by some unknown miscreants last night when the deceased was asleep in his house at village Hat Gobindapur under Krishnanagar union.The miscreants hit the deceased with sharp weapons and finally slaughtered him.

Nakul's wife Rikta Rani Biswas, 30 was also stabbed by the miscreants when she tried to resist them. Rikta is now under treatment at Faridpur Sadar hospital.

In another incident, one Malek Shaikh, 40 of village Betbaria under Kaijuri union was stabbed to death at his village home at dead of night. In the incident the miscreants also inflicted stab injuries to the deceased's wife Bilia Begum, 35 and young son Shakil Shaikh,17. They are now under treatment at Sadar hospital.

The cause of these brutal killings is still to be ascertained, police said. Two separate cases were registered with Kotwali police in these connections. Police is investigating incidents
