Two killed in lightning strike in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Aug 12: Two persons were killed in lightning strike at Balakair and Borni under Gopalganj Sadar and Muksudpur Upazila in Gopalganj district Monday.

The deceased's were identified as Aslam Mollah (35), son of Amzad Mollah of village Bolakair under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila and Mukul Kha (32), son of Imrul Kha of village Borni under Muksudpur Upazila in Gopalganj district.

According to Thana Police and local people Aslam was going to his relative's residence and Mukul was working in a jute field in the afternoon. Both died on the spot by lightning strike.
