Two killed in Shariatpur road accident

SHARIATPUR, May 29 (BSS): Two persons including a minor girl were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Kotapara on the Dhaka-Shariatpur highway under Sadar upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were Bilal Hossain, 28, son of late Gafur Khan of Koarpur village and Sonia, 10, daughter of Kalu Sarder of Kotapara village of the upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a speedy motorcycle hit Sonia in the area and dashed a roadside tree as its rider Bilal lost control over the vehicle. Both of them died on the spot.

The injured was sent to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital in critical condition.
