Two to die for killing businessman in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 31 (UNB): A Chattogram court has sentenced two people to death and two others to life in imprisonment for killing a businessperson in 2016.

Chattogram Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court-4 Judge Shariful Bhuiya handed down the verdict on Sunday.

The condemned convicts are Kamal Hossain and Russel while the lifers are Surma Akter and Lilu Akter Ria. Of them, Lilu was tried in absentia.

According to the prosecution, Jalal Uddin Sagar of Double Mooring area was found dead with his hands and legs tied up in the north gate of CDA Residential area on October 20, 2016.
