Two workers die inhaling toxic gas

SIRAJGANJ, Jun 26 (UNB): Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank at Tamai village in Belkuchi upazila on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Babu, 32, son of Nizamuddin, and Shahidul, 30, son of Fazar Ali of Shialkol village in Sadar upazila.

Abdul Hye, officer in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station, said Babu and Shahidul became unconscious inhaling toxic gas while cleaning the septic tank at the house of Abdul Mannan around 11:45pm. They died on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies around 3 pm and sent those to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
