Uncle kills nephew in Pabna

 PABNA, May 14: A man was killed allegedly by his uncle at Piarpur in Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna Tuesday night over a disputed tree. The killer uncle managed to escape from the spot after the incident.

The victim was identified as Bokul Pramanik, 48, of village Piarpur in Ishwardi Upazila of the district.

Police and locals said Bokul had a longstanding feud with his uncle Jalal Pramanik over a disputed tree of the house. On the day the accused uncle attacked his nephew Bokul and chopped him, leaving him seriously injured at around 6.00pm.   

The victim was taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka. However, he died on the way to Dhaka on Tuesday night.
