RANGPUR, Mar 29 (BSS): A man and his nephew were electrocuted in Joyram Anwar village under Pairaband union of Mithapukur upazila in the district on Thursday noon.
The deceased were identified as Alamgir Hossain Alam, 32, son of Mansur Ali and his nephew Askar Ali, 30, son of Lutfar Rahman of the village.
They were electrocuted while removing tree branches with torn cables over under construction power supply lines of Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS)-1, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mithapukur Police Station Mozammel Haque told the news agency.
