LALMONIRHAT, Mar 05 (UNB): Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a cornfield in Lalmonirhat district on Wednesday.
The body was found in the afternoon in the Bamanatari area of Mogolhat Union in Lalmonirhat, said Nur Nabi, officer-in-charge of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station.
According to locals, a farmer discovered the woman's body in the cornfield, with its head missing. They later informed the police. The police recovered the body and sent it to the Lalmonirhat District Hospital morgue.
Both the DB and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are working with the police to investigate the murder and identify the victim, added the OC.
