Unified work to mitigate climate risks in Barind stressed

RAJSHAHI, Oct 27 (BSS): Speakers at a function here stressed on Sunday united work of government and private organisations for climate risks mitigation in Barind region as the adverse impact of climate change poses serious threat to the living and livelihood conditions of the people.

So, all the public and private organizations concerned should come forward and work together to overcome the climate problems with pragmatic steps, they said.

Civil society members and development activists came up with the observation while addressing the project orientation and risk assessment workshop titled "Climate change in Rajshahi and its adjacent areas" here.

On behalf of its 'Cultivating Chance project', Association for Community Development (ACD) organised the workshop at its conference hall supported by Oxfam in Bangladesh.
