RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, July 4: The members of United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB), a model organisation of United Nations, Rajshahi unit, Friday distributed Eid clothings among hundreds underprivileged children of the city, a press release said.
UNYSAB organised a ceremony and Iftar party at the deans complex of Rajshahi University (RU) on the campus Friday.
RU student adviser Prof. Sadequl Arefin Matin, Dr. Shah Azam Shantonu and Prof. Azizul Islam were the guests while UNYSAB Rajshahi unit president Mohammed Mamun was in the chair in the programme.
The guests encouraged the street children to study and assured them of having been beside them.
A six hour long the programme was designed with cartoon show for children, cultural event, new dress distribution, art exhibition and Iftar.
