UP chairman held in graft case in Sunamganj

SUNAMGANJ, Nov 30 (UNB): Police arrested a union parishad (UP) chairman from Traffic Point area in the district town in connection with a graft case on Saturday night.

The arrestee was identified as Delwar Hossain, chairman of Mollapara union parishad in Sadar upazila of the district.

Makbul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said Delwar was arrested in a graft case filed by the local Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) office in 2013.

A team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Delwar at about 7:30 pm.
