VGF cards allotted for ultra-poor people in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, July 15: On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan 389414 Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) cards have been allotted for the ultra-poor people of the district comprising 6 upazilas and 4 municipalities. Each card holder would get 10kg rice free of cost.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Motalab Hossain said as against the cards 3894 metric tonnes of rice have been allotted. Out of the total allotment of the VGF cards sadar upazila would get 8729 cards, Dimla upazila 64624 cards, Domar upazila 51652 cards, Jaldhaka upazila 75023 cards, Kishoreganj upazila 54389 cards, Syedpur upazila 42634 cards, Nilphamari municipality 4621 cards, Syedpur municipality 4621 cards, Jaldhaka municipality 3081 cards and Domar municipality 1540 cards.

Concerned union parishad and municipality will prepare the list of ultra poor persons to distribute the cards accordingly.
