Vitamin A campaign begins April 5 in Magura

MAGURA, Mar 25: A total of 1,17,372 children are expected to be fed vitamin A capsule in Magura.
A journalist orientation meeting on Monday afternoon arranged at Magura Sadar Hospital conference room. Magura Health Department arranged the meeting in observance of national vitamin A capsule campaign. The conference informed that national vitamin A capsule campaign will be observed in Magura on April 5 as well as other parts of the country.
Under the campaign 12,129 children aged between 6 to 11 months will be given blue coliured vitamin A capsule while 105243 children aged between 1 and 5 years will be given red coloured vitamin A capsule in the district. A total of 2985 volunteers, 304 workers and 199 supervisers will be deployed to run the program a success in the district.
Dr Abdullhel Kafi spoke in the meeting as the resource person while Magura civil surgeon Sunil Chandra Roy in the chair. A total of 32 journalists took part in the workshop.
