WFP, RDRS distribute relief among flood-hit northern people

RANGPUR, Sept 4 (BSS): Side by side with the government initiatives, the World Food Programme (WFP) and RDRS Bangladesh distributed relief goods among the flood affected people of Kurigram and Gaibandha districts in recent days.
According to officials of RDRS Bangladesh here, the WFP distributed over 19.31 tonnes of high energy biscuits among 5,150 families in Kurigram district with 50 packets for each family in presence of government officials and local public representatives.
RDRS Bangladesh, a reputed NGO, extended support to the WFP authority in selecting the flood-hit beneficiary people and distributing the biscuits among them at different areas in Kurigram district.
