Wheat procurement going on in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, May 26: Procurement wheat of this season is going on in Nilphamari district and it would continue up to the 31st of this month.

District Controller of Food office sources said the procurement target of this agro-product in this season in the district is 1782 tonnes, out of which 622 tonnes to be procured from Sadar upazila, 82 tonnes to be procured from Syedpur upazila, 280 tonnes from Domar upazila, 259 tonnes from Jaldhaka upazila, 289 tonnes from Dimla upazila and 250 tonnes from Kishorgonj upazila.

The sources said, this year's procurement rate of wheat is Tk 28 per kg and till 1373 tonnes has been procured and the procurement process is still going on.
