Woman dies falling off her husband's bike

CHANDPUR, Apr 02 (UNB): A 26-year-old woman riding pillion died after falling off her husband's bike as the loose end of her burqa got entangled in the rear wheel of the two-wheeler in Chandpur Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred at Chandra Chowrasta around 10am on Friday when Asma Akhter, her husband Sabuj Bhuiyan and their five-year-old son were on their way to her parents' house in Algibazar.

OC Abdur Rashid of Chandpur Sadar police station said that Asma's burqa suddenly got entangled in the rear wheel of the speeding bike and she fell off and suffered severe head injuries.

She was taken to Chandpur Government General Hospital in a critical condition.
