BOGRA, Apr 6: An elderly woman was killed as she was hit by a train at Belgoria near Talora Railway station of Bogra-Shantahar rail route under Dupchanchia upazila in Bogra district Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Komela Begum, 60, wife of Ahmad Ali of Karigorpara of Devkhonda area under Talora union.
Police said that Lalmonirhat-bound Padmarag train hit her at Belgoria area. She was injured in her head and legs and fell down by the train and was rushed to hospital but she died on the way. Sub-inspector of GRP, Bogra Bimol Kumar said that the body was sent to Shaheed Zaiur Rahman Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy and an unnatural death (UD) case was filed with the GRP police station on Sunday.
