Woman\\\'s corpse found in doctor\\\'s chamber

GOPALGANJ, May 28: Kasiani thana police recovered a woman's corpse from a doctor's chamber at Mazra Bazar of Parulia union under Kasiani upazila in Gopalganj district early Thursday morning.  

The deceased was identified as Mazeda Begum (45), wife of Jahid Haider of village Tita of Parulia union under Kasiani upazila in Gopalganj district.

According to Kasiani thana police and local people, yesterday evening Mazeda went to doctor Amirul's chamber at Mazra Bazar of Kasiani from her residence but she did not come back.

Then police recovered her body from Dr. Amirul's chamber. Police suspect Mazeda was strangled to death after rape.

Dr. Amirul Islam Jafor, Sub Assistant Medical Officer of Kasiani Upazila Family Planning Odhidoptar and current working doctor of Parulia union was absconding.

On information Kasiani thana police reached the spot and recovered the corpse and sent it to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed with Kasiani thana in this connection.      alimuzzaman81@gmail.com
