MAGURA, May 31: World No Tobacco Day was observed in Magura on Sunday. Magura Health department organised different programmes to observe the day.
A rally was brought out in the town in the morning. A discussion meeting at Magura Sadar hospital conference room was held with Additional District Magistrate Rahat Anwar as the chief guest with Dr Habibur Rahman in the chair. Among others, assistant police super Shudarshan Kumar Roy and BRAC representative Rokeya Begum spoke in the meeting.
The speakers said, smoking is harmful for the environment as well as the smokers. Only determination of smokers is enough to give up smoking. litan1968@gmail.com
