Young man strangulated to death

JESSORE, Jan 12 (UNB): A young man was strangulated to death by unknown miscreants at Matipukur village in Sharsha upazila early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Shimul Hossain, 22, son of Mohammad Islam, a resident of the same village.

Quoting family members, Sahidar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sharsha Police Station, said some unknown people Shimul went out of his house following a phone call around 5am.

Local people spotted the body of Shimul near his house a while later. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
