Youth beaten to death by neighbours

MANIKGANJ, July 23 (UNB): A young man was beaten to death allegedly by his neighbours at Kaliani village in Sadar upazila  Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Abul Hossain,30, son of Nabin Miah, a resident of the village.

Quoting locals, a sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, said Sohrab, a resident of the village, along with his brother Salam attacked Abul and beat him with an iron rod when he was sitting at a tea stall at Kaliani Bazar at about 9:30pm, leaving him injured.

Locals rescued Abul and took him to Manikganj Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
