Youth hacked to death in Jessore

BENAPOLE, Jan 21 (UNB): A young man was hacked to death by miscreants at Shangkarpur Battala in Jessore town on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Joy,22, son of Jalal Uddin, a resident of the same area.

Police said a gang of miscreants hacked Joy indiscriminately while he was taking tea at a tea stall in the area at about 9.00pm, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to 250-bed General Hospital where he succumbed to his injures at about 10:30 pm.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
