Youth kills mother in Comilla

A woman has been strangulated to death allegedly by her son in Sadar upazila in Comilla district. The dead is Ohida Begum, 50, wife of late Abdus Sattar of Bajgodda area of the Upazila. Witnesses said auto-bike driver Ashik, 24, asked for Tk 5,000 from his mother Ohida Begum to repair his vehicle. Refused, the youth killed his mother by strangulating her throat around 4:00 pm on Tuesday. Later, locals caught Ashik and handed him over to police. Shamsuzzaman, inspector (investigation) of Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
