COX'S BAZAR, Aug 1 (UNB): A teenage boy was stabbed on Friday to death by a Rohingya young man over a trifling matter at Dail Para in Teknaf upazila.
The deceased was identified as Sajal Kumar Sheel (17), son of Sonadhan Sheel of the area.
Kabir Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station, said an altercation ensued among some young men over playing marble in the area around 6:00 pm.
At one stage, Abdus Shukkur (24), son of Ilias, a Rohingya, stabbed Sajal indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police arrested Ilias in this connection as his son Shukkur managed to flee from the scene.
