Youth stabbed to death in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 16 (UNB): A young man was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Pathania Goda in Chandgaon area in the city on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ziad, 23, son of Mohammad Selim.

Quoting family members of the victim, Abul Kalam, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station, said Ziad's elder brother runs a cable TV operating business.

On Sunday night, Ziad had an altercation with some youths as they demanded extortion from him.

At one stage, they stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

A case was filed in this connection.
