COMILLA, Jun 16 (UNB): A young man was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Durgapur in Sadar upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bahar, 27, a resident of the area.
Quoting locals, police said four alleged muggers used to live at a rented in Durgapur. They brought a girl in their house on Saturday night.
Sensing the incident, Bahar and other neighbours protested it in the early hours of Sunday, triggering an altercation between the two sides.
At one stage, the hoodlums stabbed Bahar indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police arrested one Anwar Hossain for interrogation.
