‘Uplift in all sectors reached an unparalleled height’

KHULNA, June 4 (BSS): A view-exchange meeting, organised by District Information Office, on the multi-sectoral achievements under the present government in the past six years was held at Khulna Circuit House Conference room Thursday.

Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mostofa Kamal was present as the chief guest with Regional Director of Khulna Betar Bashir Uddin in the chair.

The speakers said development in all sectors of the country reached an unparallel height compared to other previous governments bringing remarkable achievements in raising the per capita income to 1314 dollars.

The successes of the present government under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in producing electricity from 3210 Megawatt in 2009 to about 13,675 MW is unique and that projects the dynamism of the leadership and far sightedness of the government, they said.

The chief guest also described construction of on- going development projects in south-western region.

The projects include Khulna- Mongla Railway Line, modern railway station, Novothetre, Shilpokola Academy, two government Schools, Hi-Teck Park and Khulna District Stadium.

Among Others, Deputy Director of District Information Office Javed Iqbal, Senior Officer of PID Jinat Ara, BTV representative Mokbul Hossain Mintu, BSS Reporter S M Zahid Hossain and journalists of print, electronic and online media also spoke.
