2015 Indian cricket tour

The cricketing world is now focusing on the upcoming cricket series between Bangladesh and India which is scheduled from June 07 to June 24, 2015 in Bangladesh. The series consists of only one Test match and three One-Day International (ODI) matches. The Test match will be played at Fatullah Osmani Stadium, Narayangonj and the rest three ODI matches will be played at the same Sher-e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.
So far Bangladesh have played seven Test matches against India: Bangladesh lost six  matches and made draw in one match in Chittagong on May 18-22, 2007. India scored 387 runs for 8 and declared in the first innings and 100 runs for 6 and declared in the second innings, while Bangladesh scored 238 runs in the first innings and 104 for 2 in the second innings. The remarkable surprise was Mashrafe Mortaza, the skipper and the lower order batsman. He scored 79 runs and took 4 wickets for 97 runs in the first innings; in the second innings, he took 1 wicket for 36 runs. respectively. Murtaza was adjudged “Player of the Match.”   
Bangladesh played 29 ODI matches against India and the result: Bangladesh lost 25 and won 3 ODI matches; and 1 match was no result (NR). In a match with no result, neither team is deemed the winner. NR occurs when at least one team is unable to complete its innings because of hazardous weather, etc.    
Even though T20 is not scheduled in this tour, the record in this format of the game: India won 2 matches of T20 against Bangladesh.
In 2007 World Cup cricket, India played against Bangladesh;  Bangladesh beat India by 5 wickets in a group match.  India scored 191 runs, while Bangladesh scored 192 runs for 5.  Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza was adjudged “Player of the Match”; he took 4 wickets for 38 runs.   
In 2011 World Cup cricket, India won against Bangladesh by 87 runs in a group match. India scored 370 runs for 4, while Bangladesh scored 283 runs for 9.
In 2015 World Cup cricket, India played against Bangladesh in the quarter-finals. It was the first-ever occasion when Bangladesh played in the quarter-finals. India won by 109 runs. India scored 302 runs for 6 in the stimulated 50 overs, while Bangladesh scored 193 runs in 45 overs. The match was marred by poor umpiring.  
Bangladesh need to improve bowling might in order to survive cricket Test matches. In the 2nd Test match against Pakistan recently, Bangladesh showed very poor performance in bowling. Time has come to pay attention to bowling. Go, Tigers, Go!
