A second chance for DU entrance exam

It is good to know that the High Court has questioned the legality of barring candidates from a second chance of appearing at the admission test of Dhaka University. Many students could not be successful at their first attempt, but they should be given a second chance so that they can get an opportunity to study in Dhaka University which is still the most sought-after public university in our country. The DU authority took this hasty and sudden decision last year without proper thought and discussion. I think the students who could not qualify first time should get a second opportunity. I know some good students who were unsuccessful, but they really deserve a second chance and I am sure, given another opportunity they will definitely get through.

 In this way, the Dhaka University will have more meritorious students in the entrance exam and it should not create much of a problem. I sincerely hope the DU will review its decision and give our youths a second chance to sit for the entrance exam. As it happens, many applicants feel nervous in their first attempt under a big set-up like that of Dhaka University and cannot give their best. If they are given a second chance they are better prepared and more focused for the job.

I hope, the authorities will reconsider their decision and allow the intending students a second chance to appear at DU admission test.
