Abhijit murder: Perpetrators must face its consequence

The entire country was shocked at the murder of blogger Abhijit in Dhaka University campus when he was returning from the book fair along with his wife who also was seriously injured in the attack. Murders and killings are taking place in our country quite regularly. Sadly, in most cases, the killers remain unknown and unidentified. We do not see the perpetrators of such  killings being tried and punished. Sagar-Runi murder case is a glaring example in this regard. Three years have already passed and the killers are yet to be identified and brought under justice. It is really confusing that despite members of the law enforcing agencies being present nearby, the criminals attacked Abhijeet and killed him. The law enforcing agencies did not come forward to help the couple and the attackers disappeared. The inaction of the police in this case is confusing and mysterious. If the citizens' lives are unsafe and insecure, we cannot expect peace to prevail and without peace we cannot expect prosperity of the nation. We all hope, the killers of Abhijit will be identified soon and it will not have the same fate as that of Sagar Runi murder.
