Afghanistan\\\'s moment of glory

Since the tour of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh has gradually been experiencing the taste of defeats. The trend has not even stopped when it faced a country like Afghanistan. We are concerned whether Bangladesh will be able to retain its Test status or will be replaced by Afghanistan. Will Afghanistan be a Test-playing nation instead of Bangladesh?   

 It was a historic win for Afghanistan against a Test-playing nation like Bangladesh in the 5th match of Asia Cup cricket.  Once, Afghanistan scored 90 for five wickets in 26.5 overs. But Asghar Stanikzai's unbeaten 90 and Salimullah Shenwari 81's (run out) were finally able to make a competitive score of 254 for six wickets in 50 overs. Besides, the Afghans took two early wickets and put pressure on Bangladesh.

 On the other hand, during this difficult time, Mominul Haque and Ziaur Rahman showed some fireworks scoring 50 and 41 runs respectively.  Unfortunately, the rest scores of Bangladesh cricketers did not help to get the victory. As a result, Bangladesh was defeated by 12 runs. Mohammad Nabi, the skipper of Afghanistan, was the most successful bowler capturing three wickets for 44 runs and Salimullah Shenwari was the Player of the Match. Surely, the Afghans will never forget this glorious victory.
