Suicide incidents in the country are rising alarmingly and it is a matter of great concern. With the advent of technology, people are becoming more connected to the virtual world and are increasingly being disconnected with the real people who live nearby.
Now-a-days even when we socialise, we will see that most of time we are actually fiddling with our Smartphone and there is little conversation we do with the person who is just in front of us. We have to, for sometime, disconnect ourselves from the technology and connect with our surroundings.
I am not saying that computer, Smartphone and TV are bad but we need to strike a balance in our lives. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already called for reducing the rate of suicides. The parents have a big role to play. We, the parents, don't need to help our children in every task. It is better sometime to let them fail and experience it. We should not quit pursuing our dream as life goes on.
Young people are more prone to suicide as they cannot handle disappointments in life. With effective measures, we can save many lives. I hope, we will create awareness among the common people so that they don't take rash decisions like suicide which is also prohibited by all major religions of the world.
