Some countries are reopening their tourist spots, maintaining maximum caution, to restore livelihoods of many and let the industry survive. Bangladesh's tourism industry has been one of the most affected sectors since the coronavirus outbreak hit the country in March. Losses incurred by hotels, hotels and companies involved in the industry may be estimated but sufferings of the people employed in the sector can hardly be measured.
Since many people have been bored staying at home, they may spend a few days in tourist spots, if there is adequate health safety. In view of the uncertainty in containing the virus with vaccines, maximum caution on the part of all may be useful in preventing the virus. When most activities have been resumed in the country, the tourism sector needs to devise strategies on how to survive during the pandemic and thrive in future.
