APJ Kalam\\\'s inspirational words for our youth

It's really great to listen to former Indian President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. I have hardly gone through such an enlightening discourse in the recent past. His encouraging oration just reminds me of former US President John F. Kennedy's  immortal words: "Think not what your country can do for you. Think what you can do for your country". Dr Kalam's prudent advice to the youth that there will always be problems in life but 'the problems should not become your captain, rather you should become the captain of the problems, defeat the problems and succeed' is really rejuvenating.

Again his quotation from Persian poet Jalal ad-Din Rumi that  "I am born with potential. I am born with goodness and trust. I am born with ideas and dreams. I am born with greatness..…" gives life a new direction. Our younger generation need to imbibe in them these sublime thoughts and translate those in action so that they can serve our motherland meaningfully and thus serve themselves too.

For me, I am no more a youth but the inspiring speech given by the former Indian President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at the 110th founding anniversary celebrations of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in  Dhaka makes me feel as if I am still a youth and of course 'I have a dream' too. In fine, let's pray for this octogenarian sage so that he remains in good health and inspire and ignite the youth of the sub-continent and beyond.
