Army deployment for city elections

All candidates of the city corporation elections, except the ruling party-backed ones, are demanding the deployment of the army during the election as they believe it will ensure a free and fair polling. If the army is deployed, the voters will be able to cast their votes without any fear and intimidation. I hope the EC will ensure that the army is deployed on election duty so that we can see a fair election taking place which is essential to bring back political stability in the country.

A fair city election will surely enable our politics to move in a positive direction and the voters will get a chance to speak their minds. Everyday as we open newspapers, we find news on election campaigns receive prominence. The candidates are running from door to door seeking blessings of the voters and trying to woo voters. It is good to see that finally the politicians have turned their attention to gain public support which is a positive indication. I hope the EC will play its due role to bring back the confidence of the common people, which they lost in the last general elections.
