Attacks on Christchurch mosques

A gunman's attacks on two mosques in Christchurch on March 15 surprised and shocked everyone across the world. The violent act left at least 49 people dead and 48 wounded in the quiet city of New Zealand. At least two Bangladeshis were among the dead.
Bangladeshi cricket players were safe. They were just five minutes from being caught up in the massacre when they arrived at Masjid al Noor for Friday prayers as the shooting began. While all members are safe, the incident left them very scared and distraught.
The police are investigating the matter. A 28-year-old Australian man faced court on Saturday. He was charged with killing of these people. He grinned when he was presented at the court.
I am sure the perpetrator will face the punishment for his heinous act. There is never a justification for hatred and such crimes only encourage more hatred and make our world unsafe.
We pray for the salvation of the departed souls and early recovery for the injured.
