Autistic children need more care and attention
October 30, 2014 00:00:00
In a rough estimation it has been found that one in every 500 children is suffering from autism syndrome. It is high time we stood beside these children who are living a life of suffering, isolation and neglect. They deserve our love, attention and affection more if we really want to rehabilitate them in our society. Even in Dhaka city the parents of an autistic child find it very difficult to raise their child as our city doesn't have enough schools for these children and the cost of schooling is very high. We cannot blame the school authorities for an autistic child needs more attention than a normal child. A teacher is needed to be dedicated for an autistic child. Schooling thus becomes expensive compared to normal school. The government should give monetary help to these special schools so that the burden of the parents is less.
